David Zwick

Starting my career as a financial advisor with Progressive Asset Management, one of the first firms to focus exclusively on Socially Responsible Investing for individual investors, founded back in 1987, provided the background and experience to understand the intricacies of a values-based approach to portfolio design and investment management. With that knowledge and experience, I founded Greenleaf Investment Advisors in 2020 to better meet the needs of each individual client and family, both locally and throughout the country.

I have spent my career focused exclusively on Socially Responsible Investing, before it became a mainstream way to invest, and was an early adopter of fully Fossil Fuel Free portfolios, divesting from ALL (not just some) fossil fuel companies. Not only the Carbon 200 or just Oil and Coal, but client portfolios avoided all companies directly related to the fossil fuel industry, including those focused on exploration, pipelines, transportation, refinement, fracking, etc.. 

Before a career change and completing an MBA at Babson College, I spent the first part of my career life as a tenured high school business teacher in upstate New York. Although out of the classroom, I enjoy the opportunity to continue teaching/educating, by working with clients in a way that highlights their learning and understanding of how to meet their financial and retirement goals.

A flexible schedule, means that I am available during the day, as well as outside typical business hours.  I currently live in Wellesley, MA with my daughter and dog. When not immediately available, you will either find me running around with my daughter, at a climate action function, or enjoying the outdoors year-round, spending time around the water in the summer and on the slopes in the winter.
